Comparing the GMAT Focus Edition vs the original GMAT
The GMAT Focus Edition has one less section and is nearly an hour shorter than the current version. The Focus Edition also comes with the following new features:

IF YOU PLAN TO APPLY IN...
FOCUS EDITION TIMELINE
We recommend continuing studying for the original GMAT. No need to worry about the Focus Edition.
It’s up to you which GMAT version to take! Just note that after Q1 2024, you’ll only be able to take the Focus Edition.
Registration for the new GMAT Focus Edition opened.
Testing begins for the new GMAT Focus Edition.
The original GMAT will be phased out in early 2024. Exact dates to be announced.
How to send out your score
Within 48 hours of receiving your Official Score Report, select 5 schools to submit them to for free. Regardless of which version you take, your scores are valid for five years. Be sure to check that your target school accepts the Focus.
RECEIVE OFFICIAL SCORE REPORT
You’ll receive an email letting you know that your Official Score Report is available to view in your mba.com account within 7 business days but may take up to 20 business days in some instances.
SELECT 5 SCHOOLS TO SEND SCORES TO FOR FREE
Within 48 hours of receiving your Official Score Report, you can choose 5 schools to send your score report to for free. This is included as part of your registration.
SEND SCORES TO ADDITIONAL SCHOOLS FOR A FEE
After this 48 hour period or if you want to send your score to additional schools, you can do so for a non-refundable fee. Purchase additional score reports through your mba.com account.
